Idées de séjours, week-end et sorties à Saint-Victor et ses alentours
Montluçon, a pretty town in the heart of France, has lots to offer. A good place to start is in the Fonds d'Art Moderne et Contemporain, which houses a collection of stunning modern works and temporary exhibitions. The Orangerie du Château de la Louvière was left to the town by the Troubat family, who are ancestors of François-Joseph Troubat, a manufacturer from the 20th century who was born in Montluçon. This museum is home to a collection of paintings, furniture and tapestries. The Musée de Musiques Populaires is also worth a visit, and is in the former Château of the Dukes of Bourbon. There are also two theatres in the town, so have a look at their programmes and see what's on while you're in town.
Elsewhere, if you want to get back to nature, the Forêt de Tronçais is just 33km to the north of the hotel, and is the perfect place for a day's cycling, with a picnic picked up from the markets which are on every day in town except Monday. If you'd like a day out in the city, you have a few options: Bourges is 93km north of the hotel, or Clermont-Ferrand in the south is 107km away. The town of Vichy, 93km to the south-east of Montluçon, is also an interesting place to visit, as this was the seat of the collaborationist government during World War II. Today it is an important town in the region which is home to museums, theatres and much more, so a visit is well worth it. Enjoy your stay in Montluçon and the Campanile MONTLUCON - Saint Victor!
